Ink Drawing of Baltimore Magazine Illustration by Frank Stockton

I came across the works of Frank Stockton via the newly started “quarterly zine of literature, art, and design” Urban Molecule. I’m glad I did too because Frank Stockton’s work is simply cool. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that I actually recognized one of his drawings from a New York Times article I had read some time ago about the disappearance of bees:

What I like about his blog is the fact that he shows you the various stages of his illustrations, from conception to the finished product.  Very informative.  On top of that, his stories are also very entertaining.  Definitely worth your while.

  • Hey Lee — thanks for checking out UM. Yeah, Stockton is a visual genius. And he’s got a great personality, too. Something that’s often difficult to gauge with writing and pictures alone. And for that, he’s one of the Molecule’s faves.

Thoughts?
