Although I would argue that Finnish Saara Maria Piispa’s paintings are much stronger than the small collection of drawings she currently displays on her site, I nonetheless feel some of them are quite compelling. Sometimes the idea and though behind a drawing, simple as it may be, is enough to make you stop and think.
These drawings by an artist simply identified as Ken are haunting in their simplicity and surrealism. Borderline macabre, they leave me wondering as to their meaning.
Tomas Schats from Holland creates some deceptively simple but utterly fascinating drawings.
I feel this drawing perfectly displays Niko Henrichon’s ability to draw both compelling comic characters as well as bring to life vivid fantasies.
