Hi, and thanks for stopping by.
This site is run by me, Lee Clemmer (yup, that’s my mug), in an attempt to catalogue and collect black and white drawings of interest and beauty. I may ultimately inject some of my own drawings into the mix if I create anything that I think is worthy, but for now, it will be the works of others only.
I started out thinking that I would only feature drawings and sketches done in pen or pencil, but realistically there are enough great drawings done in other media that I would be foolish to exclude them. However, I do believe there need to be some boundaries. The featured works will be exclusively black and white and will not include anything that could be classified as a painting (oil, acrylic, watercolor, spraypaint, etc.) I may massage those lines down the road (for example, I’m thinking that I would include works done with the aid of a computer, i.e. Photoshopped drawings), but they will be my directive for the time being.

I saw your post on FAA but i don’t know how to navigate this site or add work to it 80% of my work is white and black.
Maybe you can explain “how to join or post art?

Sorry, I guess I should’ve been more explicit about how art actually gets added here, which is right now only through me finding it and posting about… However, that being said, if you have or know of anyone who has cool black and white drawings, please by all means feel free to shoot me an email at clemmerl AT gmail . com. Just attach a few pics and URL if you got a website.
So, as of right now, you couldn’t find a way to add art because there is no way
I’m really hoping to add this in the future however if this site gains some traction and people are into it. In the meantime, we’ll go with the email method.

I like your site and I enjoy reading your comments. Can you please provide a small instruction of what is the best way to transform a hardcopy into the digital format? I would like to send you my work for your judgment but not sure what is the best way to do that.

Hi Vladimir, thanks for your interest! I guess the best way to digitize your work really depends on the nature of your work… can they fit in a normal sized scanner? Maybe you can locate a bigger scanner at a copy shop? Perhaps the best way is to track down a nice DSLR camera and take high-quality pictures. It’s a good question, and I’m not sure what the best answer is for you.
Once you’ve got them digitized though, definitely get in touch with me
