2 Years In the Making: New Website Design

Well, it’s been long overdue, this website design, but I’ve finally exhausted all of my excuses to put it off any further. Not sure how much time I’ve ultimately put into it, but rest assured, it didn’t happen overnight, not even over the weekend. I hope the final product reflects that.

A while ago I ran a little survey for about a month or so, and the biggest take-away for me was that you guys use this site for inspiration. We all need a muse sometimes to get the creative juices going, and if this site can motivate to put the pencil to paper, I’d consider that a success. So let me not stand further in the way of you opening your sketch book, but leave you finally with some of the design iterations I had come up with over the last two years. As you can see, it’s changed quite a bit!

Add your drawings to the new Drawn in Black Flickr group

If you are interested in promoting your drawings and have them appear on this website, the simplest way to do that is to upload them to Flickr and add them to the newly created Drawn in Black group. However, you may still fill out the Suggest an Artist form if you or someone you know deserves a dedicated post.

Sorry for the disruption

Hi guys, I just noticed after 4 or 5 days of downtime that this site wasn’t working properly. Somehow the WP config file was deleted (kind of worries me actually) and therefore nothing was working. Things seem to work ok now and hopefully this won’t... No related posts.

Short Downtime

The site was down briefly today due to some back-end configuration changes I had to make. From now on the site will only be displaying the “www.drawninblack.com” URL, instead of forwarding to the subdomain it is hosted on, drawninblack.globalmindflow.net. Looks nicer doesn’t it? We now return... No related posts.

From Pen & Pencil to Drawn In Black. Now accessible via drawninblack.com. The name pretty much sums it up. Woo. Update: Fixed the broken image after I deleted the “penandpencil” subdomain but failed to copy the images to the new domain. Whoops. No related... No related posts.
